Hi, friends! It’s almost that time of year where we see lots of Christmas cheer. If you are anything like me, you love all that the Christmas season brings. Trimming the tree, baking cookies, snuggled with my family on the couch by the fire–I love it all. And Hallmark. Especially Hallmark. Oh, friends. It’s simply magical. For my husband, this season of glad tidings conjures the image of watching “Die Hard” by the fire, which he still declares is the greatest Christmas movie ever. I can’t even…
What I do not look forward to each December and the days leading up to Christmas is the stress of trying to make everything just perfect, remembering to move that Elf on the Shelf guy, and fitting even more activities into an already busy schedule. Well, this year my family and I are going to try something new.
I invite you and your daughters to press pause with us for a few moments each week during this Advent season as we dig a little deeper into the real reason for Christmas season. Each week for the four weeks of Advent, we will come together right here to learn more about preparing a way for Jesus and how He prepared a way for us.
As with all the Girls of Grace Bible studies, each weekly devotion will include scripture reading, conversation starters and a fun, Advent-themed “Mom & Me” activity. I hope you will join us as we begin “Preparing a Way” on the first Sunday of Advent, November 27.
If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to emails so you don’t miss even one week of what I pray will bless you and yours during this Christmas season. See you soon!
